Individual Proctor Responsibilities and Requirements

By registering as an Individual Proctor, you agree to:

  • Have a valid, working email address.
  • Protect at all times the confidentiality and security of the College for Financial Planning examinations.
  • Keep your proctor login and/or password confidential.
  • Confirm the examinee's identity by verifying a picture ID.
  • Verify that the examinee has no books, notes, or alpha-programmable calculators with him or her. (Any such items should be held by the proctor until the exam is completed.)
  • Verify that the examinee had no outside assistance during the exam.
  • Sign in each examinee into the College for Financial Planning's Online Testing System. Each student will have a unique User ID number and Password that he or she will use to sign in. The proctor will then enter a unique Proctor ID and Password.
  • Remain with the examinee at all times throughout the delivery of the exam to verify that cheating is not occurring.
  • Stop the examinee at the end of the test time and complete the sign out process that includes collecting any scratch paper, and attesting that you remained with the examinee and no cheating occurred.
  • Affirm that you are not currently an enrolled student in any College for Financial Planning program or course.
  • Affirm that you have no business or family relationship with the examinee. Business relationship is further defined as working within the same company regardless of physical location, title, or position.
  • Allow the College to release your name and the name of the student whom you proctored to the student's company or an agent of their company if requested.

By clicking Agree, you understand and consent to the terms and conditions required to serve as an individual proctor for the College for Financial Planning. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in disciplinary or legal action including revocation of your right to proctor for the College.
